My Approach

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience providing Psychotherapy, Coaching and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to adults. My style of working is warm, practical, and results-oriented.

I work with clients to develop the most effective, efficient, and meaningful program to resolve their problems, to manage their emotional states, and to achieve their life goals.

I use a mix of cognitive behavioral (skill building) and psychodynamic (insight building)  approaches to address a range of issues and goals like depression, anxiety & life transitions.

I help clients navigate: aging parent relations, sibling relations, intimate partner relations, friend relations, grief, caring for a mentally or physically ill family member, parenting issues, fertility issues, desire for increased self-understanding, career decisions/development & insomnia. I also have a particular expertise and clinical interest in the following areas:

CBT

CBT is a short-term, goal-oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving. Its goal is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that are behind people’s difficulties, and so change the way they feel.

CBT-i

A subset of CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is a short-term, solution-focused approach that can help clients overcome insomnia with cognitive and behavioral strategies that have been proven effective at improving sleep without or with reduced use of sleep medication.

Relational Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Relational psychodynamic psychotherapy is an approach that can help individuals recognize the role relationships can play in shaping their daily experiences and attempts to help people understand patterns of relating they have toward themselves and others.
